| 19th May 2011 | The 'Shop Doctor', Bill Smith, visited Millom to review the retail offering in the town ending with a meeting in the Millom Network Centre to give feedback to the town traders and to also launch a small grant for shop front improvement which has been given by CBC. Eric helped to facilitate the day and event alongside Trudy Harrison the locality worker and other organisations. | |

Millom 'Open for business' event was a show case to celebrate Millom as a business venue and to highlight areas for development and future investment opportunities. It started with a brunch meeting followed by presentations and an exhibition from local business people. VIPs including Jamie Read, members of Copeland BC and the Local Enterprise Partnership were taken on a tour of the area to identify future prospects. WiSE working alongside MNC, CBC, and the town council. |
