About us?

Ways into Successful Enterprise' is a free and confidential project designed to assist people to become self employed or start up their own business, or if already in business it is about helping with any particular aspect for example marketing or cash flow.

‘It is a joint project between Allerdale BC and Copeland BC in West Cumbria, with Enterprise Coaches based in offices in Maryport, Workington, Wigton in Allerdale, and Cleator Moor, Millom and Whitehaven in Copeland. 

What can we offer?                                       

The enterprise coaching service is free and confidential and is designed to help you explore your ideas and support your progress towards achieving your goals.                                                                      

  • Enterprise coaching and talking through ideas 
  • A one to one service with individuals
  • Preparation of business plans and cashflow forecasts 
  • Referrals to relevant training, funding, and other external support organisations
  • Identification of pathways to progression
  • Accessing networks
  • Ongoing support to businesses.

Who are we for?

Enterprise Coaching is for people who have an interest:-

  • in being enterprising 
  • in self employment
  • in starting a small business
  • developing an existing business
  • looking for work, on benefits or considering other options e.g,volunteering or training

Annabell’s Tearoom

Annabell’s Tearoom has newly opened in November in Senhouse Street, Maryport.

Annabell Winn has worked as a baker most of her life. She does all the cooking for the shop so everything is fresh and homemade.  There are plans to offer speciality teas and coffees, hampers with homemade goodies, and outside buffet catering. The tearoom can also be booked privately for children’s parties and funeral teas.

Annabell also makes all types of bespoke cakes for Weddings, Christenings, and Novelty Cakes to Cup Cakes and Christmas cakes.
